I use Google Docs all the time, especially for my Church and sign-ups for pot luck and any other event that may be going on. Google Docs could be used in the Library for signing up for trainings, or for brainstorming sessions or making lists of things that that need to be accomplished in each department (a to do list of sorts). I just made a generic Google doc of the advanced exercises I have left to complete so I can keep track and cross them off. The link is below.
